Morphometric analysis of middle and posterior cranial fossae foramina in 3D reconstructions of CT images: A midline asymmetry evaluation

Objective: The cranial base harbours numerous foramina, and the anatomical properties of foramina are crucial in clinical interventions. purpose current study is to evaluate possible asymmetries regarding middle posterior fossae using 3D reconstructions high-resolution computed tomography (CT) images. Patients Methods: High-resolution CT images 253 female 287 male adult patients were used study. 18 40 years age without any apparent pathology. distances from foramen rotundum, ovale, spinosum, internal acoustic meatus, hypoglossal canal midline measured bilaterally compare both sides.
